Over two decades creating words and images.

Hi! I’m Stacey Leasca, an award-winning journalist and photographer with 20+ years of experience.

My words, photos, and videos have appeared in print or online for The Los Angeles Times, Travel + Leisure, Food & Wine, BBC Travel, Departures, Tripadvisor, Men’s Health, Women’s Health, Men’s Journal, Glamour, Real Simple, Southern Living, GlobalPost, TIME, GOOD Magazine, LA Confidential, and more. Though I now specialize in travel and lifestyle reporting, my work has covered everything from women’s representation in media, the immigration crisis at the U.S. / Mexico border, criminal justice reform, and cannabis legalization.

Beyond writing, I also worked as the social media editor for The Los Angeles Times and served as a consulting social media editor for Travel + Leisure. I regularly work on social media best practices for newsrooms and startups across the country.

I am also a former adjunct professor of journalism at the University of Southern California. There, I taught visual journalism, feature writing, and introduction to online journalism.

I am currently a Ph.D. candidate at Universidade Católica, with a focus on building resiliency to misinformation in early-career journalists.

You’re most likely to find me in an airport or hanging out with my dog, Alastor.
